Francoise Journal Page Project by Finnabair
Artist Anna Dabrowska, also known as Finnabair, is well-known for her intricate and artistic mixed-media journal pages, collages, and altered art. In her Francoise Journal Page project, she turns unique pictures into an artistic conversation piece.
To recreate this look, use the kraft colored pages in Anna’s Prima Marketing Sunrise Sunset Journal as your canvas. You can add some vintage text like our French Flea Market Ephemera to add layers and depth to the pages. Before you glue the vintage text down, try distressing the paper with some walnut ink around the edges and maybe a few light sprays of spray ink.
After gluing the vintage text down, add your selection of interesting photographs. Continue to embellish the page using a variety of techniques similar to Anna's – try adding some small drops of black re-inker, accent the pages with some random strips of washi or paper tape, and then journal straight onto the tape. You can add additional designs to the page by stamping or stenciling.
